Greenworks Cabinetry exhibited at the first annual Design: Fairchild event, which was held at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens from November 12-14th. This design and furniture show celebrated beauty and eco-innovation and featured some of South Florida’s most talented green designers. Greenworks showcased its range of sustainable offerings, including furniture and cabinetry made with Plyboo bamboo and Durapalm coconut palm plywood, as well as with Richlite paper composite surfaces. The event, which was held contemporaneously with Fairchild’s 70th annual Ramble event, was extremely well-attended with several thousand visitors over a three day period. This article featured Greenworks’ extensive role at the newly renovated Clifton Hotel, the first green hotel renovation on Miami Beach. Greenworks supplied a wide range of fixtures and furniture in common areas and guest rooms at the Clifton, including the bar, bathroom vanities, desks, wardrobes, bed systems, night tables and more. Most of these items were fabricated with Plyboo® bamboo plywood, which helped conserve forest resources and improve indoor air quality at the hotel—all while providing the chic and sophisticated look that South Beach is known for. The Clifton Hotel is seeking LEED Platinum certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s green building rating system. These products will help earn credits in the Materials & Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality categories of the LEED framework. Learn more about the Clifton HotelExternal Link.
